AKADAMICS

Started in 2013, this program awards scholarships to students pursuing baccalaureate courses in Assam, supporting numerous scholars to graduate successfully.

Support a Child

Provides Scholarship for students with financial hardship. Judicious monetary assistance and mentoring to the students are provided by working directly with schools and other educational institutions

RVC

AFNA and RVC support flood-prone villages in Dhemaji, strengthening resilience, ensuring clean water, and improving sanitation for residents.

Cachar Cancer Hospital

AFNA partners with Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Center (CCH&RC), a key collaborator in delivering healthcare services.

KIND

Kalyani Niwas, a Guwahati-based shelter for abandoned and destitute children and young girls, provides safe housing, education, and livelihood support.

Support a Grandma

An AFNA initiative covering healthcare expenses for SENEH residents, a Guwahati home for destitute elderly women, ensuring their medical well-being.

Project Moontime

A group of AFNA volunteers under the leadership of Mrs. Ranju Sarma translated the book “Moon Time” to Assamese

Parijat

AFNA supported Parijat Academy in its early years, enabling SIPA internships and projects like solar lamp distribution and Soles for Tots. Through the Support a Child program, AFNA funds teacher salaries, books, and supplies.

Atma Nirbhar

This project provides employment to 35+ disabled adults in Guwahati’s food packaging industry. AFNA partners with FST to offer fair wages, benefits, and PF.

SHED

AFNA supports SHED’s residential school for special needs children, integrating them with regular students. In 2012-13, AFNA raised $7,600 to help SHED acquire land in Sonapur for a permanent campus.
