Provides Scholarship for students with financial hardship. Judicious monetary assistance and mentoring to the students are provided by working directly with schools and other educational institutions
AFNA continues to run its flagship Support-A-Child program providing support to school going students in Assam. Started in 2008, this program and has been continuously supporting 50 to 100 students every year since then. SAC program provide a scholarship of $100 per student per year. Our selection criteria are mostly based on financial condition of the child’s family and their willingness to attend school.
The goal of this project is to help students in Assam stay in school, even when there is family financial hardship. To do this, AFNA provides judicious monetary assistance and mentoring to the students. We work with schools that have dedicated teams with whose help we have already helped hundreds of students stay in school for over a decade
