AFNA and RVC support flood-prone villages in Dhemaji, strengthening resilience, ensuring clean water, and improving sanitation for residents.
AFNA collaborates with RVC to enhance the capabilities of flood-prone villages in eastern Dhemaji District, enabling them to withstand the effects of annual floods and ensuring residents have access to clean drinking water and sanitation.
As part of the disaster resilience program, flood-resistant hand pumps were installed in Dhemaji District, Assam. Additionally, AFNA collaborated with a local civil engineer to develop an improved design for community latrines to be used during the flood season.
Currently, AFNA is providing financial support to promote "Rabi crops" in Ajarbari/Nepali Pathar and No. 2 Uluwoni village, focusing on "Carrot/French bean/Peas," targeting 50 households with 3 bighas each.
