Volunteering at AFNA
Our volunteers are the catalysts who transform the foundation's mission statement into reality with their efforts and their hearts. You can read this article about one volunteer's reflections on volunteering here.
If you would like to join us as a volunteer, there are many ways you can help - steward a project, do fundraising, keep our website updated, raise awareness among your friends about the foundation's efforts, discuss great ideas for new projects and initiatives - the possibilities are limitless. Come join us and make a difference!
Many of us have been volunteering for several years. Current volunteers are from many states in the USA and some provinces of Canada. They participate in and drive community involvement for development projects in Assam, and build relationships for this purpose with communities and organizations in North America and other parts of the world.
As volunteers, we love that we can have direct contact with projects in Assam where dedicated people are overcoming hurdles every day. To be able to talk to them and contribute to solving those problems, not necessarily with money but also with ideas, contacts, and using skills we have acquired through our professional and personal experiences, is a wonderful feeling.

Membership
You can become a member either by paying membership fee online or sending the cheque via email
Pay Membership Fee By Mail
You can also pay the annual membership fee of $25 by mail. Please follow the following instructions.

Please write a check for $25 (your annual membership fee) to Assam Foundation of North America and put the information mentioned below on it.

Your e-mail address (on the top-left below your address). This is where we will contact you for confirmation of payment and to get more information about your membership.

Employer Matching
Many companies have matching gifts programs to match charitable donations by their employees to non-profit organizations. You can contact your company's benefits department to find out if your company has such a program. If it does, please submit a request to your employer to match your donation to AFNA. Such employer matching funds significantly expand the value of your valuable donation to AFNA. Thank you!
