Feb 2012: Visit to SHEDVolunteer Satyajit Nath visited Society for Health, Education & Development (SHED), Guwahati. Bimola Sinha is sight-disabled. She sung a beautiful semi-classical bhajan, a fine ghazal, and a lovely Assamese song, accompanied on the harmonium by her music teacher. What a performance! I later learned that Bimola had received the gold medal in a national competition for disabled children in Chennai recently. AFNA supports her education and that of many other children at SHED through our Support A Child initiative.
