Anita Devi age 14 years is a mediocre student but very sincere and regular in class. She is very good in Athletics. Her father is a labor and facing difficulties to financially support her studies. They are hopeful and looking forward to get some financial help for her to achieve a bright future

Bhaigyashree, age 10 years is a soft spoken girl and medium in studies.

She does not have any particular hobby, but she does drawing and painting. She enjoys playing games with her friends. She lost her father at her very young age. Her mother is a labor who often has to make and sell rice beer to give her family bread and butter.

She and her mother hope that some good Samaritan will turn up and support her for pursuing her education.

Dibyojyoti age 11 years is very active in sports and good in cultural activities. He is very fond of Bihu dance. He is medium in studies. His father is a single parent after his mother separated from their family and earns his living hood by doing labor.

The earning is not enough for him to financially support Dibyojyoti’s education.They are very hopeful that some good Samaritan will turn up and help Dibyojyoti to pursue his education.

Doimalo,8 year old likes playing football and very interested in drawing and painting. His father is a daily labor and mother is home maker. Their financial condition is not just enough to give Doimala a bright future with proper education.

They hope to get some help from some good Samaritan to keep his studies going and lead him out of the darkness to a more meaningful existence


Ganesh, 11 year old is a boy, belongs to Karbi community. His father is woodcutter and mother is home maker, but often makes Rice Beer. It is very common in Karbi tribal society.His village is about 5 kms from Parijat Academy.Ganesh has good interest in sports and painting. He is little bit shy by his nature.

He is medium in his study, but has lots of curiosity to know new things. Some financial help towards this child will lead him to pursue his education and fulfill his dream of a successful life.

Gojen,13 year old hails from Garbhanga, a remote forest village that is about 17 kms from Parijat Academy. He likes playing badminton at Parijat. His mother has very small shop –“Paan & Tamul” in Garbhanga village.

That is the only source of income for their livelihood. She wants to give him the best possible education. This single mother and her son need monetary support so that Gojen will be able to finish his education without any obstacles.

Mridul Roy, 11 year old is very active in sports and very curious to learn new things. He lost his parents when he was young. Now he lives in his uncle’s house.

Mridul needs supportive handsand guidance to pursue his studies and succeed in his life.

Sunia,7 year old is a sincere student who attends school regularly. She likes to do drawing and painting. Her father is a woodcutter and sometimes works as a daily labor too. But he is alcoholic which a hindrance for Sunia’s education is.

Help this child to get rid of all financial and other hassles to continue her studies and live a meaningful life.


Karishma Boro,11 year old is soft spoken and is very shy by her nature. She lives along with her mother who is separated from her father.

Her mother sustains the family of three working as a daily wage labor and provides domestic help.

Karishma’s mother strives hard to educate her daughters and have put both Karishma and her younger sister to study at Parijat Academy. Her mother is very hopeful about getting some monetary help so that her daughter’s can complete their studies and fulfill their dream of a better life.

Jyotish, 8 year old is active in sports and he is very fond of doing drawing and painting. His father is a daily wage labor and mother is home maker who looks after his younger sister. The wage is not even enough for the family to have daily bread and butter.

So it is getting difficult for his family to keep Jyotish in school. Any financial support will help Jyotish to keep his study going and finish it without any obstacle.

Nareswar, 9 year old has joined Parijat Academy this year. His parents are small time farmers doing Jhum cultivation. He loves playing football.He is finding the school very interesting.

Niren, 12 year old is good at playing football. His father is daily wage labor in a nearby village stone quarry and only bread earning person in the family as mother is a home maker.Their little earning preventing Naren from pursuing his dream of a better life.

Puspanjali, 7 year old is very fond of drawing and painting. She has come from a family of small scale farmer. Their earning is not just enough for their bread and butter

Sankar,13 year old is very good in his studies .He hails from a village which is about 17KMs from Parijat Academy, a very remote forest area near Assam Meghalaya border. He currently stays at Parijat Academy.His father is a farmer doing Jhum cultivation.

He likes playing badminton and carom board. He was not able to speak Assamese before he comes to Parijat Academy. Now he is picking up speaking Assamese. Assistance from our society can help this child to fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher to lit the light of education among his village people.

Seuti, 11 year old is very good in Karbi dance. She is very curious to know and learn new things. Her father is a farmer doing Jhum Cultivation and mother is home maker.

Seuti stays at Parijat Academy and very hopeful about her future there. Help this child to keep her dreams and hopes alive.


Sonali, 14 year old comes from a very poor background. Her father and mother earn livelihood by cutting fire wood and selling them. Sometimes they also have to work as daily wage labor in village stone quarry.

She is very interested in tailoring. Any kind of financial help would help her continue her education and give a proper shape to her future.

Sumita, 7 year old is very sincere and regular in her class. She likes drawing and painting. She is also very interested in cultural activities and takes active participation in all cultural programs held in the school. Her father is labor and mother is home maker.

Little financial help towards Sumita will give a new meaning to her life and she will be able to complete her education without any hassle.

Jibonjyoti is a class X student, studying in Tezpur Collegiate High school, Tezpur, Assam. He is the son of a single mother who earns her livelihood as a domestic worker.

Jibonjyoti has helped Assam win 3 bronze medals and 1 silver medal in "Fencing" in the past 5 years.He also won an individual gold in 2008 Chattisgarh National games held in Raipur.Due to lack of any funding he practices with improvised fencing gears that he himself makes out of bamboo. His short term goal is to get selected and trained by Sports Authority of India. In the long term, he wants to win an Olympic gold for India

Numali is born in a remote village, in Assam Meghalaya border called Garbhanga which is covered by a forest.Her father is a cultivator in hills. There is not a fixed amount of earning as forest village life is like doing and eating. .

Education is a distant dream for the people in this village.

The only language they can speak is Karbi.

Numali is youngest in her family. Her elder brother somehow came to know about Parijat academy and she has been enrolled there. As Numali looks mature she was put in Class VII and was provided extra teaching in subjects like Assamese, Mathematics, Science, Hindi, English, reading and writing for 1 year.She is very hard working and good in studies. She was selected from school to take participate in National Youth Festivel, Kolkata, 2010.
